Contracted as a Senior Business Analyst to work on the 2 projects detailed below (concurrently)
Senior Business Analyst - 2017 to 2018
Project #1: NAB Carnell Inquiry Project.
NAB had committed to overhauling small business contracts by the end of 2017, to ensure they are written in plain English and are simpler for the average customer to understand in response to the Carnell Inquiry.
NAB’s standard Business Letter of Offer was completely redesigned to improve transparency and make it simpler and easier to understand, including:
- Simpler contractual clauses written in plain English,
- A mass reduction in document length, and
- One-third of existing terms and conditions discarded.
Michelle worked with existing BA and Communications Manager to ensure:
- Implementation of system and process changes required
- NAB had identified all areas of the business impacted by the contract changes and associated processes
- Informed and educated key stakeholders and areas/teams impacted on contractual and process changes impacting them
- Provided and published supporting documentation as required for successful handover into BAU
Project Outcome: Successful release of overhauled contracts dated the 5th of October 2017, seeing NAB exceed the EOY target release date promised to customers and making them the first bank to do so following the outcome of the Carnell Inquiry.
